romantic, psychological, fantasy-like extensions of science and technology; focuses on Biology, Sociology, Psychology

Space opera

Deep because of the issues that it deals with (religion, politics, commerce, ecology, psychology, technology) and it draws very strong parallels to our own issues here and now.

Dystopian Science Fiction
A particularly grim look at the future: The world is grossly overpopulated, jobs are scarce, natural resources are dwindling, disease is everywhere, etc. It’s a warning.
