what is family dysfunction?
are abnormal processes within a family.
what is schizophrenogenic mother?
Fromm-Reichmann (1948) claimed that schizophrenogenic mother can cause an individual to develop schizophrenia. the mother is cold, rejecting and controlling, this creates a family climate of tension
what is the double-bind theory?
bateson et al (1972) emphasised the role of communication style within the family.
what is expressed emotions
is the level of emotions, in particular negative emotions.
