When people turn a corner with trolleys they slow down so best sellers or special offers are out there so people impulse buy.
Items of the same theme are grouped together so people may buy more than on the shopping list

Bread + milk is put at the end of the shop so customers go through more stuff and they might appeal to customers

Small things like sweets are put there to out pressure as a last chance grab and buy at tills
