AKA the chief lighting technician. This person is primarily responsible for developing a lighting plan according to the desires of the DP. They direct the best boy and grips where to put what light.

They physically move and set up the proponents of a film set, such as lights.

Question 3

Sound Recordist

They capture all of the sound on location for the film. They set up mics and deal with any issues that come up with their placement.

Boom Operator

Operates the boom mic.

1st AD

Crafts the shooting schedule, runs the set, makes sure other film crew positions are functioning on time- problem solvers.

2nd AD

1st AD’s right hand. Handles daily call sheets and shepherds talent around. Coordinates w/ 1st AD to solve or prevent problems behind-the-scenes.

1st AC

On charge of set-up and on-set maintenance of the camera and related accessories. Pulling focus during a shot and other management of image capture settings.

2nd AC

Answer 8

Organizes the camera crew’s gear, keeps records, assists in general camera team tasks. Operates the camera slate.
