Q

What are the 4 structural elements?

A

1)Desmosomes- newly generated basal cells - bound and rise to surface

2) basement membrane- basal cells bound to basement membrane

3) dermal papillae- located on the surface of the dermis, they fit into pockets on underside of epidermis beside primary ridges

4)sweat glands- they penetrate through the epidermis and anchor to dermis or hypodermis
