A

Occurs when Endometrial cells are found in locations other than the Uterus
- results in tissue reacting to Progesterone and Estrogen with cyclic responses

  • Non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelium: covers external surface of cervix

  • Detected by self-examination and mammography
