A
  • puritans opposed idea of crucifixes in every church -> threatened to resign -> Liz backed down as she could not replace them
  • puritans opposed vestment clothing by saying priests should wear no / simple vestments -> TP made a book of advertisements telling all priests to attend an exhibition showing vestments they must wear -> 37 resigned
