- Additive or migratory oligoarthritis and extra-articular symptoms

- Post-enteric: campylobacter, salmonella and shigella (among others)
- Post-venereal: Chlamydia, HIV

A
- Most commonly affects young, white people
- Poncet’s

Reactive Arthritis Presentation
A
- 2-4 weeks after genitourinary or GI infection
- 10% do not have preceding symptomatic infection
- Asymmetrical, predominantly lower limb, oligoarthritis
- Low back pain is common
- Triad may occur

A
- Ankylosing spondylitis
- Gonococcal arthritis
- Gout

Reactive Arthritis Investigations
A
- Only serum antibodies are detected
- HLA-B26 often positive
- Joint aspiration may be required to rule out other causes
- Urogenital and stool cultures

- NSAIDS
