Plot Summary

A

The story begins with explorer Robert Walton writing to his sister Margaret to tell her about his plans for an expedition to the arctic. On the way they find a weary looking man wrapped in the body of one of his sled dogs and take him aboard their ship to rescue him. The man seems very frazzled but eventually consents to telling his story to Robert as a warning. We soon find out the man’s name is Victor Frankenstien. He first explains his childhood and relationship with his family and then how he was sent off to study at Ingosladt.
