1.1 How do you usually spend your weekends? Why?
For the last few months, I have studied English in Lviv, so on weekends I usually go to my hometown - Ivano-Frankivs’k. There I can spend time with my family. My son is so happy to see me, that’s why we have a lot of walks together, go to the cinema and catch up on everything
Sometimes we visit my mom-in-law. She lives out of town, so that we can enjoy beautiful views and fresh air.
But unfortunately, on Sunday I should go back to Lviv.
1.2 What did you do yesterday?
It was working day yesterday, so I had to wake up early. I got dressed, had breakfast and got ready to go to National Academy. As usual I went to the nearest stop and came by trolleybus to the campus. I had four lessons of English here. After this I had my lunch with my friends. We also went for a run, as usually try to keep good physical shape.
After lessons and self-training time I went back home, cooked some dinner and continued studying new phrases and grammar in English
Before going to bed, I had shower and prepared everything for next day.
2.1 What is the most important day in your life? Why?
I can definitely say that it was my wedding day. I got married 5 years ago and it was so different time then when I was alone
My wife is wonderful woman and we have a son
We plan our future together and I can’t imagine my life without here
2.2 How did you celebrate your last birthday?
Last year I had nice birthday party. I invited my relatives and friends to share this celebration with me. We organized everything in a restaurant in my city and had really nice time together. Tasty food, friendly chats, birthday songs - all this make that day unforgettable. We also invited two children’s animators, so everyone was happy and had fun, even the smallest of us
3.1 How do you use the Internet? Why?
Nowadays the Internet became an important part of everyday life. I use it for many tasks. For example, for getting news or communication with my friends and family. We check on the Internet transport, use it to organize holiday or buy anything what we need.
We can’t forget that the Internet is unlimited source of different books and can be really helpful for studying
And of course the Internet is about having some fun, while watching funny videos or next episode of favourite series
3.3 How are you going to use English in future?
As we know that English is the language of international communication. Our country builds strong relationships with other countries, so I hope I’ll be able to introduce for foreign guests Ukraine and also take part in missions abroad.
As well I dream to visit some english-speaking countries such as United Kingdom and Canada.
And even in everyday life I can use English to understand what is written on my T-shirt or what is singing new popstar
3.2 What was your favourite sport at school? Why?
At school I liked playing football so much. It’ s favourite game of many pupils and adults. In this game you should be very fast and clever, the teamwork is really important here
Also I liked football, because I used to watch football a lot. I knew all the best players and enjoyed championships such as Euro
3.4 How are your daily foods different from what you eat on big holidays?
Everyday I try to have different and nutritious food. I like eating grains, vegetables, eggs and meat. I keep my daily food balanced and avoid eating to much or some sweets.
But holidays are definitely different. It’s our family tradition to put all the best on table. We usually cook few types of meet, prepare some cheese and do few salads. The important part of every celebration is traditional dishes such as holubtsi, mash potato with backed pork loin and kholodets. And even after all this I can eat some cake or dessert, especially if it’s homemade
3.5 How has the city life changed in the last 10 years?
I can’t tell that city life is so different than 10 years ago. I guess the cities have become bigger and that’s why we have more cars on the streets, bigger shopping centers and sometimes problems with infrastructure. It’s harder to buy a flat in big cities, and the rent has increased. We also faced some difficulties because of the war, so now we can’t imagine our lives without shelters and air alarms.
But from the other side, we see new communities and how people can organize wonderful projects if they live close
