Passive Pulm HPT

A

Cause: raised left atrial pressure

Due to: Mitral stenosis, LV failure, LA myxoma

Results: Pulm Oedema, reflex vasoconstriction, sclerotic changes in arteries & veins

Fix: mitral valve surgery

A

Cause: increase blood flow through lungs

Due to: ASD/ VSD

Mostly woman 20-40years

Pathology: lesions of plexogenic pulm ateriopathy
