What is the Holy Bible?
The Bible is a collection of inspired writings all of which are God Breathed and in whose Holy Breath (pneuma) the Holy Spirit has made manifest in the penmen of His choosing compromising 66 books beginning at Genesis and ending at Malachi (Old Testament). Matthew and ending at The Revelation of Jesus Christ (New Testament). It is God’s Revelation and representation of Himself in and during the course of history.
What is the purpose of the Bible?
That we might know the will of God. 2 Tim. 3:16 Rom. 7. That we may know who God is. The Bible reveals the redemptive plan and purpose of God through His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
How many Gods are there revealed in the Holy Scriptures?
One God existing in three distinct Persons. The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. 1 Cor 8:5-6
How many “Jehovahs” does the Bible reveal?
One “Jehovah” Deut. 6:4
What is the Trinity or the term Triune God?
It is the Latin word “Trinitas”which reflects the biblical teaching of the three-ness of God. The word trinity does not appear in the Bible. One God exisitng in Three Divine Persons. It is the doctrine that the Father, Son, and The Holy Spirit are co-equal, co-eternal & co-existent. References are St. John chapters 14,15,16.17
What do you believe about the origin of this universe?
The heavens and the earth were created in the beginning by God. Not by evolution or otherwise. Gen 1
What is man?
Man is body made from the ground Soul & Spirit, created by God and made in God’s image and likeness. 1 Thess. 5:23
What is the fall?
Man disobeyed a direct command of God and ate, with his wife, of the forbidden fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This act of disobedience describes “the fall”. Gen 3
What are the effects of the fall of man?
Man became a three-fold sinner by 1. Divine decree (declaration) Gal. 3:22. 2. Nature Eph. 2:3 . Practice Rom. 3:23a
What is Salvation?
The provision of Salvation is the act of God sending His son to die upon the cross of Calvary shedding his blood for the redemption of man. Anyone who believes that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again from the dead in a bodily resurrection accepting Christ as personal Savior (John 1:12) shall be saved. Rom. 10:9-13.
