The progressive movement was very effective in creating change, African Americans were allowed to vote, the railroad was regulated, the national graduated tax law was made, child labor was banned eventually, they had new requirements for houses like ventilation windows and fire protection, regulations for jobs, women got the right to vote and Mexican Americans were able to receive a education in some places.
