Negatives of urban sprawl
- Requires more roads and infrastructure
- Wildlife habitat loss
- Causes more commuting so more fuel consumption and traffic congestion
- Air pollution + UHI effect
- Loss of farmland and open spaces
- Impact on water quality and quantity
