What is the mission statement?
It is who we are: Full LE agency, arm of the court, keeper of offenders
What does the mission statement say in regards to people?
To serve all people with respect, fairness, and compassion.
What does the mission statement say the Sheriff’s Office is committed to?
-Prevention of crime

What is the vision statement?
It is what we do: commitment to providing services that are fair, impartial, and effective.
What does the vision statement hold its employees to?
The highest of standards of efficiency, morality, and professionalism.
What is a duty to intervene?
An officer using the information in front of them to determine whether or not the force they are observing is excessive right now
What is duty of care?
A legal obligation: always act in the best interest of individuals and others, not act or fail to act in a way that results in harm.
Active shooter scene at business complex/school. You are the first supervisor to respond. Contact team has entered the building. What are your responsibilities?
-Establish command (on radio and location)
-Account for personnel
-Give route of travel for incoming to command
-Set inner and outer perimeter
-Set staging areas for ???

Deputy is involved in UOF. What is a supervisor responsible for?
-Go to scene or location where deputy/suspect are (ie FHH, FCADC)
-Collect or arrange for collection of evidence
-Take photographs
-Interview involved deputy, suspect, witnesses
-Make command notification if applicable
-Compare events with GO’s, SOPs, case law
-Deputy to complete LEFTA FACTS (UOF) within 24 hours
-Complete supervisor review of FACTS report
-Evaluate the reasonableness of EACH deputy involved
-Review document for completeness
-Upload incident report, photos, and other pertinent info
-Ensure initial and supplements are complete
-Approve the report
