clinical presentation?
A
usually 10-21 days after Upper respiratory infection (postpharyngitic).
more common in children age 6-10 but can occur in adults.
gross hematuria.
adults can be asymptomatic or develop acute nephritic syndrome.

diagnosis?
A
low C3 complement.
elevated antistreptolysin O and or anti-DNase B.
kidney biopsy with subepithelial humps consisting of C3 complement.

prognosis?
A
good prognosis in children.
possible chronic kidney disease in adults.
