War
Population density in areas like Syria is falling because people are moving away because of the prolonged war
Human factors
Jobs
Jobs in different industries in urban areas encourage people to move to find work e.g Rio de janeiro
State 5 problems with Ageing populations
Less working people to pay taxes which are required for o cope with increasing demands , such as healthcare
More money is needed to pay pensions so taxes may be increased
More care services such as meals on wheels are needed
More sheltered housing and care homes need to move built which costs money
Elderly use health services more which puts a strain on them . More doctors and nurses will need to be trained
School closure as fewer children are in them so teachers loose their jobs
Life expectancy
Countries who have higher life expectancies tend to be more developed as they can afford to spend money on health care e.g more doctors
More advanced procedures are available in developed countries such as heart bypass surgery , which helps people live longer
This reduces the infant mortality rate
People per doctor
A higher number of people per doctor shows a lack of healthcare provision
The more people per doctor , the less developed a country will be because there isn’t enough money to educate them
Developing countries often have a poor education system and lack of universities to train doctors
Governments in developing countries cannot afford to keep hospitals stocked with enough supplies
