Stalin Poland

In 1934 Stalin annulled a non-aggression treaty with Poland.

The Nazi-Soviet Pact (1939) divided Poland up between Germany and the USSR.

The Russo-Polish border was moved to the Curzon Line at the Yalta Conference.

The Polish-German border was moved to the Oder-Neisse line at Potsdam.

In February 1947 a new constitution was drawn up which allowed the Polish Workers’ Party to dominate the country.

In 1952, Poland was renamed the People’s Republic of Poland.

Stalin let the Polish Home Army be defeat the Nazis in the Warsaw Uprising in 1943.-
as entered poland july 24th, planned radio uprising augusrt 2nd but bailed out

200 000 killed
150000 to concentration camps
