Q

How are fold mountains formed?

The detailed one

A
  1. Formed along converging continental plate boundaries
  2. Compressional forces create great pressure and layers fold as plates move towards each other and collide
  3. Increasing force on one limb of a fold may cause the fold to buckle, and the limb may move forwards to ride over the other limb
