Q

plan an investigation to show the effect of light from one direction on the growth of plant seedlings

A
  • measure the height of the shoots using a ruler
  • place one pot of seedlings in the dark with light from one side
  • place one pot with light all around it as a control variable
  • keep the temperature the same
  • after 2 days record the direction the seedlings grow in/to
  • re measure the height of the shoots
  • to measure the bent shoots use a thread to straighten them out and measure length of thread with ruler
  • calculate the mean height increase for each group/pot of seedlings
  • then compare the growth of plants with light from one direction with plants in full light
