Tx of Hyperphosphatemia
Decrease phosphorus
Use dialysis for patients with ESRD.
Control Hypertension to maintain kidney function
Tx of Hypophosphatemia
Increase Phosphate
Introduce nutrients slowly
PO or IV phosphate
Reduce diuretics.
What is the relationship between calcium and phosphate?
Inverse relationship.
