Major Classes of Drug-Drug Interactions

A

Pharmacodynamic Interaction: One drug changes response to another drug
Pharmaceutical Interactions: Interactions occur prior to drug administration. Two drug solutions mixed prior to infusion.
Pharmacokinetic Interactions: Interaction due to change in blood concentration, change in absorption!
