What are the classifications of pelvis fracture

A

Young and Burgess classification.

3 Subtypes:

AP1: Pubic Symphsis disruption:

Disruption of pubic symphysis < 2.5cm. Posterior elements intact

AP2: Disruption of pubic symphysis of pubic symphysis >2.5cm. Disruption of posterior pubic ligaments:
Sacrospinous
Sacrotuberous
Sacroiliac

AP3: Posterior sacroiliac joint and pubic symphysis diastasis

Lateral Compression Fracture:

LC1: Pubic rami fail. Characteristic transervse fracture. Crush injury anterior margin of anterior margin of sacrum

LC2: Iliac blade fracture and pubic rami fracture

LC3: Iliac, rami and SI contralateral side. Creating windswept apperance.
