Try this CAH question
http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/maths/geometry/trigonometryrev3.shtml
when you are working out the length of the hypotenuse of a right angle triangle what do you use?
CAH / cos = adjacent side length over hypotenuse
what’s the difference between cos and tan?
with cos you have the adjacent side length and are trying to find the hypotenuse whereas with tan you are trying to find the opposite sides length using the adjacent side
if you are finding angle C on a right angle triangle what do you often have to do when using sin, cos or tan?
inverse them aka press shift on your calculator then sin, cos or tan
Simplify Equation: 4/square root 3
4 square root 3 / 3
what is the quadratic equation
y= ax squared + bx + c
what is the quadratic formula
2a
if a point on a parabola in a graph has the coordinates (2,12) and the general equation for that graph is y=kx squared what is k?
12=k2 squared
12=4k
12/4=k
3=k
£8000 is put in a bank for 16 years with a compound interest of 8% each year; how do you find out how much is in the back at the end of the 16 years?
