Fitness
The ability to meet the demands of the environment
Health
A state of complete emotional, physical and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity
Exercise
A form of physical activity done to maintain or improve health and/or PHYSICAL fitness;
It is not a competitive sport
Performance
How well a task is completed
DEFINITION
Cardiovascular fitness
The ability to exercise the entire body for long periods of time without tiring
Also aerobic endurance
DEFINITION
Muscular endurance
The ability to use voluntary muscles many times without getting tired
DEFINITION
Reaction time
The time it takes to respond to a stimulus
DEFINITION
Power
The ability to do strength performances quickly
DEFINITION
Speed
Relates to the amount of time it takes to perform a particular action or cover a particular distance

Agility
The ability to change the position of the body quickly, while maintaining control of the movement
DEFINITION
Balance
The ability to retain the body’s centre of mass above the base of support
DEFINITION
Co-ordination
The ability to use two or more body parts together
DEFINITION
Body composition
The relative ratio of fat mass to fat-free mass in the body
DEFINITION
Strength
The amount of force a muscle can exert against resistance
