controls body activities, but acts more slowly than the nervous system, uses hormones to regulate activities
Cardiovascular system
uses blood as a transporting fluid to carry oxygen, nutrients, hormones, and other substances around the body.
Lymphatic system
complements the cardiovascular system, helps immunity
Respiratory system
Keeps body supplied with oxygen
Digestive system
breaks down food and delivers products to blood
Urinary system
removes nitrogen-containing waste from blood and flushes them from the body.
Reproductive system
produces offspring
