treatment effect and sampling error (don’t need individual differences, which results in us having greater chance of finding an effect if there is one)
Within participants variance (error):
sampling error
F = between conditions variance divided by within participants variance

no outliers (Extreme scores)
equal sphericity (Mauchlys test - looks at differences between conditions)
(We want Mauchlys to be non-significant to do parametric test)
