After the movie we usually go to a cafe and talk…
Après Le film on va normalement à un café et on parle…
But there’s always a problem…
Mais il y a toujours un problème
We always talk about school!
On parle toujours de l’école.
Me: so, did you like the film?
Me: Alors, tu as aimé Le film?
Sophie: yes it was interesting…
Sophie: Oui, c’était intéressant…
Sophie (cont): oh by the way Anne, did you do the homework? It’s really difficult
Sophie (Cont): Oh, au fait, Anne, tu as fait les devoirs? C’est vraiment difficile!
Anne: well, I got up late this morning, I didn’t have breakfast, I didn’t wash and I didn’t brush my teeth…
Anne: Eh bien, Je me suis levée tard Ce matin, Je n’ai pas pris Le petit déjeuner, Je ne me suis pas lavée et Je ne me suis pas brossé les dents…
Anne (cont): …and then mum says, “Can you help at home today? I have to do the shopping, so can you do the housework and the cooking?”
Anne (cont): …et puis maman dit, “Tu peux aider à la Maison aujourd’hui? Je dois faire les courses, Alors to peux faire le ménage et la cuisine?”
Sophie: That’s not like at my home. I never do the housework
Sophie: Ce n’est pas comme chez moi. Je ne fais jamais le ménage
Me: what?! I have to tidy my room, set the table, make my bed and that’s just in the mornings…and I do my homework
Me: Quoi!!? Je dois ranger ma chambre, mettre le couvert, faire mon lit et ça c’est que le matin! Et.. Je fais mes devoirs
Sophie : so you can help me!
Sophie: Alors, tu peux m’aider
Me: NOOOO
Me: Non!!
Sophie: You’re jealous! You have to do the housework and I don’t do the housework. You’re pathetic…you’re jealous!!
Sophie: Tu es jalouse! Tu dois faire le ménage et je ne fais pas Le ménage. Tu es nulle. Tu es jalouse!
Anne: Stop! Here are the coffees
Anne: Arrêtez! Voilà les cafés
