Offense Flashcards
When beginning an over-hook attack in the guard, what should you do first to keep the opponent’s posture broken?
Grab the lapel behind his head
Kimura from overhook when opponent is in your guard
Obtain an overhook, shrimp out and lock legs high on opponent sideways, push up on opponent’s trapped wrist causing a kimura
Darce choke from top side-control
Your arm closest to opponent’s head passes around his far-side neck as if setting up for a north/south-choke, except you also must trap his near arm with your hips against his head; walk hips around causing pressure and lock hand to bicep and squeeze
How do you finish a kimura from top side-control?
Lock in kimura, then put your leg over opponent’s head
In the guard, can the REVERSE kimura be used to submit your opponent?
Yes, c-clamp the wrist (do not use double overhand grip)
