Treatment for allergic rhinitis?
antihistamines, then topical steroids, then both
What should be considered in nasal polyps in young?
CF
Treatment for nasal polyps?
oral then topical steroids
Causes of nasal polyps?
nickel, allergy, infection
Antbiotics for sinusitis?
may not be needed, but if so:
Penicillin
2nd line Doxycycline (not in children)
Pain, discharge, runny nose?
infective rhinosinitus, may do skin prick test to show allergens
Chonic sinusitis later in life, blood stained nasal discharge, nasal obstruction?
sinus squamous cell cancer
