Q

3 Important facts about Inertia

A
  • Inertia is not a force, just a characteristic of matter
  • If an object has mass, it has inertia
  • The mass of an object is the measure of its inertia i.e the larger the object, the more difficult it is to move from rest or to stop if its in motion

Q

Explain static and dynamic equilibrium.

A

Static: When an object is stationary and the sum of all forces exerted on it equals zero.
