Why is CT indicated in stroke initially?
A
To determine whether stroke is embolic or haemorrhagic (i.e thrombolysis contraindicated)

A
Fat Methemolobin Mineral deposition Melanin "Mush" Contrast material

What does a T1 hypointense MRI show?
A
Water, air, bone
High flow e.g arterial “flow voids”

A
More water and/or less tissue (T2=H2O)
