Q

Give an example of a negative feedback loop.

A

The hypothalamus releases corticotropin releasing hormone to the anterior pituitary gland which then releases adrenocoticotropic hormone which stimulates the adrenal contexts release cortisol. Cortisol levels feed back to the anterior pituitary to inhibit the release of adrenocoticotropic hormone and to the hypothalamus to stop releasing corticotropin hormone.

Q

Where is the target site for gonadotropin releasing hormones

A

Anterior pituitary which then releases follicle stimulating hormone and lutienizibg hormone to the testes to make testosterone and the ovaries to make estrogen.
