Adduction
Movement of a body part towards the midline
Abduction
Movement of a body part away from the midline
Flexion
Decreasing the angle between two bones (bending a body part)
Extension
Increasing the angle between two bones (straightening a body part)
Rotation
Turning a body part around on its axis
Circumduction
Moving in a circle at a joint or moving one end of a body part in a circle while the other remains stationary.
Involuntary
Functioning without conscious thought or control

Cardiac
Muscles which form the walls of the heart and circulates blood
Visceral
Muscle found in the internal organs of the body (digestive and respiratory systems + blood vessels and eyes)
Skeletal
Muscle attached to the bones which causes body movement
