What is a muscle action
Movement that occurs when muscle contracts
What is tone
Continuos and passive partial contraction of the muscles
What is tension
Contraction of the skeletal muscles
What is fatigue
A lessened capacity for work and reduced efficiency of accomplishment
What is flexion
Movement that decrease the angle of the joint
What is extension
Movement that increases the angle of the joint
What is abduction
To move away from the midline
What is adduction
To move towards the midline
What is supination
Outward rotation of the forearm causing palms to face anteriorly
What is pronation
Inward rotation of forearm causing the radius to cross the ulna and palms face posterior
What is dorsiflexion
Flexion of the entire foot superiorly
What is plantar flexion
Extension of the foot inferior
What is eversion
Movement of the sole of the foot away from the median plane
