A

Open: skin broken due to broken bone or penetrating wound down to bone

Closed: No brake in skin

Splint and ice packs to dislocations, joint damage, and bad displacement of #
Check distal circulation
Transport as necessary, monitor circulation, sensation and motor function to distal of injury
Consider elevation, IVC, Fluid infusion

What is a Dislocation? How do you manage it

A

Joint forced beyond anatomical position, articulate surface not in contact, no brake in bone. Managed as same as a fracture except it is never manipulated
