Q
Briefly explain Lorenz’s Psycho-Hydraulic model of motivation
A
The longer since the behaviour is performed, the more action specific energy will accumulate and the more likely the behaviour will occur. It is a good model for feeding, if an animal has just eaten it is unlikey to do so again for a while. However, it is not a good model for aggression, acting aggressivley does not always increase the likelihoof of aggressive behaviour.
