What is distance?
the length between one space and another
What is speed?
the distance travelled per unit of time
What is scalar?
a physical quantity that has magnitude only e.g Time
What is vector?
a physical quantity that has both magnitude and direction e.g 20 km East
What is displacement?
is the distance in a direction (always the shortest distance)
What is acceleration?
the change in speed going up e.g 0km to 60km
What is deceleration?
the change in speed going down e.g 50 km to 20km
What are balanced forces?
when an object does not move because completing forces cancel each other out
What are unbalanced forces?
what causes objects to speed up, slow down or change direction
What is friction?
a force that opposes motion between 2 objects when they are placed in contact
What is deform?
when forces compress or stretch
What is compress?
making something smaller
What is stretch?
making something larger or bigger
What is elastic?
when a force is applied the object will return to its original shape
What is a reaction?
when force is applied to an object in response to another force
