More stuff u need to know!!!! Flashcards
Name 4 circle theorems
- Angle at the centre the circle are twice those at the circumference
- Every angle at the circumference of a semi circle that is subtended by the diameter of the semicircle is a right angle
- Angles at the circumference in the same tangent of a circle are equal (if the are subtended by the same chord)
- The sum of opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral is 180
What does ‘mean’ mean?
The mean is the average of the data, when you add up all the numbers and then divide by the number of numbers
What does ‘median’ mean?
The median is the middle value. To find the median your numbers have to be listed in numerical order
What does ‘mode’ mean?
The mode is the number that appears most often in the set
What is the Inter Quartile Range? (IQR)
The difference between the upper quartile and the Lower quartile
What Is the Upper quartile and dow do you find it?
The UQ divides the upper half of the data in to halves. Its the top 25% of the data. Equation - 3(n+1) divided by 4
What is the lower quartile and how do you find it?
The LQ divides the lower half of the data. Bottom 25% of data. Equation - (n+1) divided by 4… th value
What rules garantee congruency?
SSS - all three sides given SAS - two sides and an angle ASA - two angles with a side in-between AAS - in same order in both triangles RHS - if we know hip + one side & its a right angle
