Q
Moral rules
A
Principles or guidelines that dictate what is considered right or wrong behaviour within a particular moral framework.
These rules can be based on a variety of sources, including cultural traditions, religious teachings, philosophical theories, and social norms.
Moral rules can cover a wide range of behaviours and actions like:
– honesty and respect to others which covers a lot
– to the moral permissibility of abortion or capital punishment which is more specific
They can also vary across different cultures, religions, and philosophical traditions.
They are often seen as a way to promote ethical behaviour and provide a basis for making moral judgements.
