Q

define non renewable (finite)

A

limited in number - once its used up it can be restored, the rate at which this can happen takes too long in comparison to its usage

Q

how do power stations work?

A

1) fossils fuels are burnt, chemical energy turns into heat
2) heat boils water and turns it into gas (steam)
3) steam rises, turns turbine, heat turns into kinetic
4) generator turns kinetic into electrical
5) step down transformer ensures energy is appropriate for all electrical devices
