Q

what happens in anaphase?

A

centromeres divide separating each pair of sister chromatids spindle fibres contract and the chromatids are pulled to opposite ends of cell by their centromere making them v shaped

Q

what happens in telophase?

A

chromosomes uncoil and become long and thin. they are now called chromosomes again and nuclear envelope forms around them then cytokinesis happens

Q

what happens in interphase?

A

three parts, gap phase 1, synthesis and gap phase 2

  • gap phase 1: cell grow and new organelles and proteins are made
  • synthesis: DNA is unravelled and replicated ready to divide by mitosis
  • gap phase 2: cell keeps growing and proteins needed for cell division are made
