Are these military aircraft stationed here?
No. As part of their training, they have to do cross country training flights and we are a popular destination. Most are from Texas and Oklahoma but we get aircraft from all over the country.
What Aircraft is this?
T-45. Once a Navy/Marine student graduates primary flight training in the T-6 and is top in their class, they can select jets which is the T-45.
What aircraft are these?
T-45’s. Used by the Navy and Marines to train pilots to fly jets like the F-18 and the F-35. Just before students graduate in these aircraft, they will do carrier qualifications in these T-45’s. Notice the black and white tail hook circled in red.
What is significant about this paint job on this Navy T-6?
The solid Navy blue is a throwback to WW2. All T-6’s will get new paint jobs this way as they go in for annual maintenance.
