in the moment; w/in seconds
ask pt to repeat what you said (3-5 sets of words)
define short term memory
seconds to 1 hr; w/in minutes
ask pt to repeat what you said after 5 mins or ano kinain nila kanina
define long term memory
hours to days or yrs
ask them bday nila, pangalan ng anak
testing for attention span
provide activity to pt and take note of time or trials
testing for concentration span
serial subtraction
spelling 5 letter word backwards
state months, days backwards
