Naltrexone

A

Rules-
-No opioids for 2 weeks prior to starting naltrexone
-Should not take opioids or drink while taking opioid receptor blockers
-May end up using high or overdose-level amounts of opioids or alcohol just to feel a sense of pleasant intoxication
-Should wear a bracelet while taking opioid receptor blockers to communicate they are on naltrexone in case of emergency
-Avoid OTC medications or other substances that contain opioids, such as cough syrups with opioid components and tylenol with codeine.
