What are the basic news values
Immediacy, dramatisation, personalisation, higher status, simplification, risk, violence, proximity, ambiguity
How may the media be blamed as a source of crime
mutation - the media provides deviant role models, which results in copying their behaviour
Arousal - viewing violent or sexual imagery
