- HTN, tachycardia
- insomnia
- diarrhea
- excessive doses: HF, angina, MI, decreased bone density
- rare allergic rxns

Methimazole CIs
-relapse more likely in smokers, pts with large goiters, and pts with positive TS antibody at end of therapy
Methimazole AEs
- minor: pruritic rash, arthralgias, fever, benign transient leukopenia
- major: agranulocytosis, lupus-like syndrome, GI intolerance, hepatotoxicity

- 120 mg td with each meal containing fat
- OTC 60 mg

Orlistat CIs
- chronic malabsorption
- cholestasis
- pregnancy
Orlistat AEs
- HA, fatigue
- GI: loose/oily stools, fecal urgency and incontinence, bloating, gas, nausea
- interference w/ absorption of fat soluble vitamins
- rare cases of severe liver injury or acute hepatic failure
