What is the main disease which is a result of bacteria in the GIT?
Diarrhoeal Disease
What are the two main mechanisms of diarrhoeal disease?
1) Invasive
- bacteria themselves cause damage
2) Exotoxin
- toxin released which causes damage
- no bacteria present can still cause disease
