What is the purpose of the patella?

What is the medial bone of the lower leg?
Tibia. Thicker. Also known as your shin bone.
What is the lateral bone of the lower leg?
Fibula. Thinner.

What bones make up the foot.
Tarsals (ankle joint), metatarsals, and phalanges.

7 Tarasals: talus, calcaneus, navicular, medial cuneiform, intermediate cuneiform, lateral cuneiform, cuboid.

How many phalanges are there? What are the sections?
