A

hypovolaemia
blocked catheter
AKI
- pre: hypotension, sepsis, HF, meds (ACEi etc.)
- renal: acute tubular necrosis, nephrotoxic meds, GN
- post: urinary obstruction/ retention

O: urine dip
X: bladder scan (if >500ml or true low UO, consider renal USS)

A

catheter (relieve retention)

monitor fluid balance

flush catheter

stop renal excreted drugs

Rx cause: fluids for pre renal, relieve obstruction for post renal

fluid bolus + reassess (repeat bladder scan if no increased UO)
